Berkeley = $15.00 per $1000 over $1,500,001 tax is  $25.00 per 1000
El Cerrito = $7.00 Per $1,000
Emeryville=$13.10 per $1,000
Hayward = $9.60 per $1000
Oakland = $10.00 per $1000 up to $300,000  and 
Oakland + over 300,000 - $2 mil $15  per $1000
Oakland + $2 mil to $5 mil  - $17.5  per $1000  and above 5 mil  $25 per $1000
Piedmont = $13.00 per $1000
Pinole = $5.50 Per $1,000
Richmond = $7.00 Per $1,000
San Leandro = $12.10 per $1000
San Pablo = $7.00 Per $1,000
City and County Transfer Taxes
 In Alameda County & Contra Costa County That have a City Transfer Tax

​Both the County of Alameda and Contra Costa County have a transfer tax. The tax is $1.10 per Thousand dollars of the sale price. Normally a seller paid closing cost.

To figure how much you will have to pay take the sale price in thousands and multiply the $ amount above.  Example sold for $452,000 in Oakland.  You multiply 452 X 15 = $6,780.oo  Since this cost is typically split 50/50 between buyer & seller half would be $3,390.oo each.
